Right beside the Lindbergh rail station sits one of Atlanta's most joyful ideas: soccer pitches you can reach by train. StationSoccer Lindbergh is part of Soccer in the Streets' citywide StationSoccer network, which builds and programs mini fields at and around MARTA stations.

Soccer in the Streets announced construction was complete in October 2020, calling Lindbergh its fourth StationSoccer project. Founding partners named by the nonprofit include the Atlanta United Foundation, MARTA and the City of Atlanta Department of City Planning.

After a pandemic delay, the pitches were officially celebrated with a community tournament on September 24, 2022, as reported by Rough Draft Atlanta.

The idea is simple and powerful: when a field sits at a transit station, getting to play no longer depends on having a ride. It is a big part of what makes this corner of Atlanta feel connected — MOVE. CONNECT. BELONG.

Check Soccer in the Streets for current programs, leagues and field access before you go.

Park at UPTOWN, Ride to the Game

Big nights in Atlanta — a match at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, a concert at State Farm Arena, a show at the Fox Theatre — often start with the same question: where do I park?
